Head coach of the national U-17 team, Manu Garba, has said that he is
optimistic that Kelechi Iheanacho will succeed in any club he chooses to
play his professional career.
Iheanacho who is currently training with the Super Eagles team B was
given a chance to travel to England to seal his contract with the 2012
Premier League side, two days ago.
Garba said that he believes Iheanacho has all it takes to successfully feature for big teams like Manchester City
“He has paid his dues at the youth level and he should be given the
opportunity to play so as to blend with the tactics of the club
[Manchester City],” Manu told Goal.
“With this, it will hasten his promotion to the main team where he will
have the chance to prove to the world what he has. I believe he will
excel in England and with proper focus, he can play in any team in the
world.”
“Well it all depends on the coach whether he will give him the chance to prove himself or not,” concluded Manu.
The yet-to-confirm Flying Eagles coach said that Iheanacho will shine at
the national team only if the coach gives him the chance to express his
skills.
